The yearly GTCO fashion weekend 2024 was a wholistic experience for fashion prenuers, fashion lovers, and fun seekers, held on Nov 9-10 at plot 1 Water Cooperation drive Onirun, VI Lagos,

The fashion weekend has become a premier event that places African fashion on the global stage and supports small and medium business promotion in the local fashion industry to thrive and connect to the globe.

In his address, the CEO of GTCO, Mr. Segun Agbaje, welcomes fashion enthusiasts and attendees to this year’s event. “The vision of GTCO Fashion Weekend remains promoting enterprise and providing platforms for SMEs; it’s about telling the story of heritage, culture, and personal identity, but beyond self-expression, fashion has become powerful economic tools, and we are deeply committed to being part of the journey.”

This year had 4 masterclasses, with over 140 carefully curated pop-up fashion stores, a craft/fabrics market, and 12 runway shows showcasing African and international finest designers. This year’s Presentation designers were Moye Africa, who has built a community of fashion apparel with intention to ease designs, with over 13.6k follows on Instagram, she redefine fashion on the runway at the event. Elpis Megalio who owns the Custom, Bridal and Bespoken Fashion Design also has her models walk the runway at GTCO fashion weekend.

Ibilola Ogundipe is a fashionista with 17.6k followers on Instagram her clothing line is a made in Nigeria brand but making a mark across the globe. Lohije a Premium Artisanal Brand, Winner Fashionomics Africa Contest 2022, Inspired by African Art History. Consciously Crafting Timeless pieces, Also Jemila, Ninie, Jewel all brought their A game with a trendy and elegant display of creative African and international style at the runway show.

It was a weekend of elegance, glamour, and glitter for the not only Gen Z generation but also a learning platform for emerging fashion designers to better their skill craft and launch into the fashion industry.

Attendees, as usual, appreciate GTCO for always putting together this yearly memorable event for fashion lovers who are yet to break ground in the evolving world of fashion.
