In a bid to advance conversations around men’s mental health, emotional wellbeing, and holistic development, Mindfully with Tunmise Production in collaboration with Blackhemages Media Concepts is set to hold ”A Fight for Life 2.0”.
Scheduled for November 29, 2025, at the Trident Suites, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, the event seeks to create a psychologically safe space for men to engage in open dialogue about their mental well-being. It also stems from ongoing discussions highlighting the unique challenges faced by men in society, particularly around mental, emotional, and socioeconomic health.
Lead creative at Blackhemages Media Concepts, Oluwatunmise Oladapo-Kuku, emphasizes that men, often raised to be providers and protectors, are rarely given the guidance or permission to fully process emotions, leaving them vulnerable to stress, addiction, and relational challenges.
“When a man is whole and given permission to feel, he is better equipped to serve his ecosystem—his family, his work, his community, and even his faith. Men’s mental health is not just about anxiety or depression; it is about aligning one’s thoughts, emotions, and actions in a way that allows for stability and growth.”

Oladapo-Kuku notes that a Fight for Life delves into the societal pressures men face, the lack of emotional tools, and the consequences of neglecting men’s health, which can manifest as domestic conflict, overworking, or social disengagement.
According to her, the project advocates for a culture where men are nurtured as fully-rounded individuals, capable of leadership, care, and emotional intelligence.
“Healing the head allows the body to thrive. When men are supported emotionally, socially, and financially, their partners and children benefit too. Men are nurturers in their own right, and society must create space for them to fully embrace that role.”
She adds that through A Fight for Life, the podcast seeks to create awareness, foster dialogue, and equip men with practical tools to safeguard their mental and emotional wellbeing, ultimately contributing to healthier families and communities.
