CBI Digital Media Unveils CBI News App, Targets Africa’s Digital Media Revolution

CBI Digital Media Limited has launched the CBI News Mobile App, a new digital platform aimed at transforming news consumption and storytelling across Africa. The unveiling took place at the Lagos Marriott Hotel, attracting captains of industry, media professionals, and development partners.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of CBI Digital Media, Mr. Gbenga Adebija, described the launch as a defining milestone in the company’s mission to drive Africa’s digital media transformation.
He said “Our vision is to be at the forefront of Africa’s digital media evolution, telling authentic African stories with credibility, creativity, and global relevance,”
He credited the company’s achievements to the leadership of Emperor Chris Baywood Ibe, Founder and Group Chief Executive of Baywood Group, whose vision and passion, he said, continue to inspire innovation and excellence within the organization.
Adebija noted that the new app reflects CBI’s philosophy of “Changing the Game, Owning the Space the CBI News App is more than a digital product it is a movement. It delivers timely, reliable, and balanced news that captures the heartbeat of the continent,” he added. emphasizing that the platform is designed not only for information sharing but also for empowerment and engagement.
He also highlighted the company’s ongoing collaboration with partners including the Bank of Industry, Polaris Bank, and Fidelity Bank, acknowledging their role in supporting the Baywood Group’s broader vision for sustainable enterprise and pan-African development.
Adebija hinted at more digital innovations to come, describing them as part of a long-term plan to build a fully integrated pan-African media network.
