Crises seems to be rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress in Somolu-Bariga areas as the Federal Lawmaker representing Shomolu Federal Constituency, Bar. Ademorin Kuye, has started his promised showdown of embarrassing litigation against his party, All Progressives Congress (APC) members and leaders in his federal constituency, following the political division that rocked the party during the Chairmanship and Councillorship primary election in the area.
Report has it that the federal lawmaker who was a council Chairman of Shomolu Local Government and former Commissioner in Lagos State, had reported his displeasure of the leaders of his party for not supporting his aspirants to ranking police officer who were his friends due to his membership of House Committee on Police Affairs. Kuye singlehandedly mention Williams Lawanson, a prominent party leader and former Sole Administrator of Shomolu Local Government.
As at the time of filling in this report, LagosIslandHunters can authoritatively report that Williams arrived Onikan at 1pm while the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in charge of Zone 2, Johnson Kokumo who was reported to have invited Williams Lawanson to his Onikan office drove off from around 9pm tonight (Monday) and has not returned, making it impossible for Hon. Lawanson to be interrogated or released to go home.
Grassroots political analyst observed that the detaining of Hon. Williams Lawanson may not be unrelated to his open support for the Chairman of Shomolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Ahmed Salau and their party’s preferred Councillorship aspirants as candidates in the just concluded Local Government election in Lagos State.
Recall that many notable politicians and APC members in Somolu had to run into hiding when the federal lawmaker supporters took to primary election centers, attacking Salau’s loyalists with dangerous weapons as many were hospitalize
