Eid El Kabir Celebration: CP Alabi, Top Officers Begins Night Patrol

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Abiodun Sylvester Alabi and his principal officers have embarked on night patrol of the suburbs of Lagos, an effort, not only to redefine the security structure of the state, but to Wade off criminals who may wont to hijack the Eid El Kabir celebrations on Monday & Tuesday next week for their ignoble acts.
In that order, Alabi saddles the deputy commissioner of police in charge of operations, Mr Isah Grema with the responsibility of the night patrol with his special Team, suspected hideouts and trouble spots.
” The CP is equally involved too. He has done that a couple of times. This leadership by example” said a source.
Besides the night patrol by Alabi and top officers, operatives from the Security and Criminal Intelligence Bureau, SCIB, have been deployed to strategic places in order to monitor the movement of suspected persons Such places includes Badagry, Epe and Ikorodu.
Similarly, undercover agents were also deployed to notable expressways such as Ajah — Epe road, Mile 2-Badagry road and Iyana-ipaja -Iyana-iba road.
These measures, according to the source, are not only to be followed up, but must not be treated with levity by the operatives
At the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, on Musuliu Smith (old Panti), street, Operatives here have been ordered by the officer in charge, DCP Adegoke Fayoade, to check the activities of robbers operating on most highways in state.
Fayoade was said to have given the order last weekend following series of complaints by Lagos residents to his office. He tasked his officers to move swiftly to end the menace of traffic robbers.
