This event is not just your typical fashion show it’s a consumer-focused extravaganza and a free business platform designed to put Africa’s best fashion on a global stage while championing the vibrant spirit of the continent’s burgeoning fashion industry.
The event came with more glitters and glamour beyond it’s usual form as fashion lovers were there to learn from top international designers and makeup artist like Julee Wilson, Sergio Hudsan, Ejiro Tafiri, Banke Kuku, Sir John, Bruce Gleen and so many others who were speakers at the master classes.
Top designer Julee Wilson had the first master class while championing the vibrant spirit of the continent’s burgeoning beauty industry she spoke on ” Black is Beyond Beautiful Championing Diversity in The Beauty Industry Unapologetic Storytelling and Fierce Authenticity”.
Julee Wilson a fashion writer and publicist with the Essence fashion magazine spoke about what it takes for her to be a fashion publicist and not been apologetic about her believe in fashion especially about black women, telling the African beauty story and more, she engaged in thought provoking and natural deliverables that comes with been a fashion writer and lover. the session was engaging and educative for attendee of the class.
Other activities of day one include runway fashion display by models of top fashion designers which is the tradition of nurturing young talent, with emerging designers stealing the spotlight. Their fresh perspectives and bold designs added a vibrant energy to the event, capturing the attention of both fashion connoisseurs and trendsetters.
