As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape the global economy, Nigerian creative strategist and youth development advocate, Olaniyi Ayorinde, is leading efforts to equip young Nigerians with the skills needed to thrive in the emerging digital age.

Ayorinde, founder of the Inspire Nigeria Project, believes AI should not be viewed only as a threat to jobs but as a tool that can unlock new opportunities for young people through creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship.
He said the future belongs to individuals who can effectively combine technology with critical thinking and creative problem-solving.

He stated that Many young people are consuming technology every day, but very few are being taught how to create with it, while addressing the media he said “The future belongs to those who can combine creativity, technology and problem-solving.”
Through various empowerment and educational initiatives, Ayorinde has mentored thousands of young Nigerians, helping them develop skills relevant to the changing world of work.

Recently, he led an AI and digital creativity training programme for over 120 teenagers, where participants were introduced to artificial intelligence tools, content creation, digital storytelling and entrepreneurship.
The initiative comes at a time when AI is rapidly changing industries and creating demand for new skills across sectors. While concerns over job displacement continue to grow, Ayorinde believes preparation and digital literacy are key to ensuring young Africans benefit from the transformation.

Ayorinde is a strong voice in discussions around Africa’s creator economy, advocating for greater investment in digital skills, creative education and AI awareness. According to him, creators are no longer limited to entertainment but are becoming important contributors to economic growth through technology, media, education and business.

In the age of AI, creativity is becoming infrastructure, As AI continues to influence the future of work, Ayorinde is focused on building platforms that will help young Nigerians become innovators and producers rather than only consumers of technology.
Ayorinde’s work highlights a growing conversation across Africa ensuring that the continent’s youthful population is not only prepared for the AI economy but positioned to help shape its future.
