The celebration of 100 days in office of the administration of the Executive Chairman, Ojodu LCDA Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku (Able God) climaxed with a series of community-oriented activities such as empowerment of youths and market women through skills acquisition and provision of tools (sewing machines, DJ Turn Tables, automobile tools, Makeup kits, back-to-school kits, blending machines etc.), provision of shopping vouchers, donation of cash to widows, elderly and disabled persons.
Thus, not less than 500 persons have directly benefitted from myriad of initiatives since his inception into office as the Council boss.
Within these few days, a variety of achievements and projects have been recorded in consonance with the promises made prior to his election into office (HEYS Agenda – Health, Education, Youths and women development, & Social infrastructure). These feats have laid much credence to the administration’s commitment in satisfying the needs of the people. However, the Chairman expressed that all these projects and accomplishments are minute fraction of what the administration has in stock.
In his address, the Mayor noted that his administration has been running an open-door policy that affords everyone in the community an opportunity to have close encounters with him as we collectively take Ojodu LCDA to the envisaged greater heights.
He also eulogized the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi, Management team and legislators for their professionalism and unalloyed support without which the success wouldn’t have been recorded.
The event was a continuation of the 2-day period of celebration of the milestones which commenced last week with the commissioning of various projects.
At the event, all sections of the community were present, ranging from traditional rulers, artisans and market women, persons with special needs, and religious leaders.
